At What I Would Have Missed, we believe that connecting with others who are suicide attempt and ideation survivors will build camaraderie and community among us. As such, these retreats are geared toward individuals who are suicide attempt and ideation survivors and their loved ones, so together we may celebrate creating moments and memories we would have missed had we died by suicide. Fireflys are symbolic of glimmers of light in the darkness which indicates a light of hope and the semicolon - ; - is an international suicide attempt and ideation survivor symbol acknowledging our stories have not ended. Life continues...
We offer a variety of weekend retreats currently in St. Petersburg, Florida. Each retreat has an overarching theme of either the beach, art & museums, recreational activities & dining, or a blend. In the future, we will expand retreat options to other locations and longer periods of time. For now, a weekend retreat is considered Friday evening at 6PM to Sunday afternoon at 4PM. The cost is $400 which includes meals--2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners, travel from beginning to end of retreat, and all adventures. It does not include flight, travel to and from airport, or lodging. At times, we will plan a unique retreat that falls outside the typical schedule.
At What I Would Have Missed, we believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported. To create a more intimate space of connection, camaraderie, and community, each retreat will have no more than 14 people unless a request for a larger group is requested. Julie Rocco, founder of What I Would Have Missed will serve as your host throughout your retreat experience.
If you are interested in attending a retreat, please reach out to me at julie.whatiwouldhavemissed@gmail.com so we can set up a time to connect.
